Some of Marathon bad guys. From left to right: a Fighter, a Hunter and an Enforcer. As my usual, I tweaked a lot on the original design. I made the backgrounds using some of the game wall textures as reference.
I think I gave the Hunter too much of a human shape (the guy under that armor is supposed to be a sort of insect like the other two). In the game, the Enforcer is the one that kindly lends you his weapon, if sufficiently persuaded. Useful persuasion means in this case are fists and every non-explosive weapon.
I don't know why but I always figured Enforcers as females. Which is probably senseless, because the Phfor are a sort of aliens bug and as far as I know gender might not apply in the same way as humans. Or maybe they are intended to be similar to bees or ants... making all the combatant units technically female, hehe.
...I'm on a Marathon binge, lately. I suspect that installing Marathon:Rubicon and managing to get stuck in nearly every switch-point level has something to do with this.
Characters: 2B pencil for sketch and lineart, Photoshop coloring. Background: Photoshop layer effects and patterns overuse.
[If you don't know Marathon and are curious of the reference, here is the page -> [link] (Italian text, but nearly all the characters name are in English)]

Got the series. Don't know why they haven't remade the series yet. Hate todays shooters, theres no puzzling objectives. Nice pic. Don't know if I commented on this.
x3 Great job on the Enforcer, tbh that's quite a good interpretation of the three phfor troop. Missing the trooper but.. eh, they are boring anyways. alls ya need now is a S'ht.
Great interpretations, especially considering the generally pixelly nature of the originals. I especially like the fighter and the effect on the enforcer's cloak/robe. I like it : p
good to know that some people still remember this classic
[the S'pht is already here -->[link] ;) ]
