The logical counterpart
[this one], but with alternate modes instead. As usual: 'canon' way, movie style, TF:A look and fantasy-human. Human Vector Prime apparently can shapeshift into a gryphon :
D
I thought at a dragon initially, but in western Middle Age lore dragons are usually perceived as being on the evil side, while the gryphon symbolism fits Vector much more. Movie Style seems an angry grasshopper ^^
; that's what I got by thinking at robot mode before the vehicle mode -- usually I do the reverse. Animated was easier, he has the same basic structure and a much concise design.
[hahaha, I'm taking this thing too seriously again :D]Anyway, every starship I draw resembles some kind of bug that seems to navigate in reverse. The ones that don't
resemble Yamato clones, anyway.
'Canon' Vector shows that I'm way more rusty at technical design than I thought. I photoshopped the starship in shape nearly as much as a magazine cover star. And of course I drew him from the only angle I couldn't find a clear photo or screenshot of :

hehe, I thought as a good way to keep the "transforms into someting" theme...
[I don't know much of Harry Potter, is there a gryphon shapeshifter too?]
Hehe, I think that the "whoops, I found this thing I just drew is exactly like this and that" situation happened to me so often that I became a little too paranoic about it :D
[Old Vector being one of the major cases ^^; he happens to be really similar to one of my older characters. Not a Transformer, but nearly same role and temper.]
I looked up native american totems as well; the only one I really thought fit him was 'Messenger, timelessness, healing, and warrior.'
It's hummingbird, though, so...yeah. x3;
Oh, and excellent job, Juzo! The design styles of the different series are there, but each alt-mode shares cohesion with the others.
